Vidyasagar Bani Bhawan PTTI one of the most renowned and prestigious Government Aided D.El.Ed institute of West Bengal. This institutes was founded by Lady Abala Basu, wife of Sir  Jagadish Chandra Bose, who herself was an eminent lady whose life was spent for the welfare of Bengals women in distress. This institution was where all those women who were down trodden or were outcasts were trained up in order to establish them  as self sufficient and independent citizens such that they may lead a life of dignity. This Institute was primarily established in the year 1925, to provide vocational training to the widows and other women in distress so that they may earn their living in honorable means and be readily accepted in the society.

The mission of this totally Government funded, supported and affiliated institute, which is recommended by NCTE is to inculcate the habit of discipline, dedication and determination in the minds of the future teachers. To provide knowledge and expertise in a manner such that the blooming teachers are able to overcome all the hurdles that might crop up in the service tenure.  To equip them with the understanding of human/child psychology such that the future teachers are solely able to support the children while educating. The going to be teachers would also be able to council and nurture those kids who might need extra boast. Empowerment of students for their all-round development through education is our cherished motto.
